The popular 1992 beat-em-up classic X-Men Arcade is making its way to the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, courtesy of an elaborate collaboration between Activision and Konami.
The original title, developed by Konami, was one of (if not the only) arcade titles to support 6 players from the same cabinet, an amazing feat which required two monitors to accomplish. Now that Activision have the rights to the X-Men video games, they've decided to work together to bring the classic to digital platforms.
The game is largely unchanged, but will allow jump in multiplayer online and off, and will allow you to also play the Japanese version, which included Power ups and some slight tweaks.
The game is expected to hit in 2011, let's hope the game still holds up against Castle Crashers TMNT, Final Fight and Scott Pilgrim.
